Horticulture Farms in Shimla
Our horticulture farms are situated in Ratnari, a small town 100 kms from Shimla. We produce our own apples and cherries and ensure we deliver our fruits fresh and crispy to our customers. We have different varieties of apples in our farms like Royal Delicious, Red Gold, Rich red, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Gala. The cherries also comes in different varieties like durone nero, stella and merchant.
We are producing apples and cherries for more than 50 years. We started farming Royal delicious, red gold and Golden delicious initially and with time we worked with other varieties of apples and cherry cultivation. Over the years we adopted various farming techniques in our farms. We ensure to produce best quality fruits which are fresh, juicy and also have great shelf life.

We have our own orchards in Shimla and Himachal Pradesh. We produce and deliver our fresh apples, cherries and make natural and preservative free products from them. The fruits we produce are crisp and pure in our own farms. We deliver our stuff all over the country. The fruits we produce are farm fresh and we make natural and preservative free products from our yearly harvest. We deliver our apples, cherries and our various other products all over the country as soon as they are picked from the orchards so that they remain crispy, juicy and do not lose their taste and flavor.
You can also pay visit to our farms during the apple and cherry seasons and have a look at our orchards and products. We provide pick up option as well, if you wish you can pack the order for yourself by picking apples yourself from the trees. We will help you with all the necessary items and help you need to pick and pack the apples.
Our Apples
- The apples we produce are fresh and juicy. The apples are rich in fiber, vitamin C and various other antioxidants. Studies show that eating apples can have multiple benefits for your health. We have different varieties and types of apples such as Royal Delicious apples, Golden, Granny Smith, Red Gold, Rich Red, Red Delicious, Galas and many more. The apple season starts from August and we take orders for them from July onwards.
- Himachal Pradesh has earned the fame of “Apple State” as the apple was first cultivated in Thanedar village of Shimla district. Apple is also the main cash crop of the state. Apples are grown across the hill state. However, upper parts of Shimla district, including Jubbal Kotkhai, produce 70 per cent of apple produce in Himachal.
- Along with apples we have our own cherry farms. The cherries we produce are pure and natural. The cherries comes in different varieties like durone nero, stella and merchant. The cherry season starts from April and we start taking orders for cherries from March onwards.
- We deliver our cherries across the country and just like apples we also provide pick up for cherries as well. You can pay a visit to our farms and pick and pack the cherries yourself and we will help you with all the necessary equipment that are required for the picking and packing of the cherries.

Apple Boi (Chips)
- Apple Boi is our best selling product. Apple Boi is the traditional or Himachali name of the apple chips.
These chips are not baked or fried; they are simply sun dried until there is no moisture content remaining in the apple slices. This is also a natural and preservative free product. We have two flavors in this category
- Romantic Royal- Romantic royal is made using the apple variety called Royal delicious Apples.
- Glum Golden- As the name suggests these chips are made using the variety called Golden apples.
Apple Chutney
This is our best selling item. This is an all natural and preservative product. This is made using a traditional recipe and is very rich in taste and flavor. These are made from fresh apples.
Apples, the main ingredient, are rich in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. The dietary fiber in apples supports digestion and helps maintain a healthy gut. Not only is this chutney packed with flavor, but it’s also packed with health benefits. Rich in flavor, it’s a healthier alternative to traditional chutneys.
Cherry Jam
We have our cherries and we make jams from the cherries. These are pure and without any added sugar. The jams are made from the freshly picked cherries from our own orchards. We do not add any harmful color to the jams .
Cherries are a good source of vitamins C and K, as well as fiber and antioxidants. Cherries also have various other benefits such as

Apple Jam
- We make apple jam from apples produced by our own orchards. The jams are 100% natural and preservative free. No colors are added in the jams. We take orders for the jams from August.
This is a natural and preservative free product. There is no added sugar in our apple jams. You can order Apple jams from July onwards.

History of Apples in Himachal
Himachal Pradesh has earned the fame of “Apple State” as the apple was first cultivated in Thanedar village of Shimla district. Apple is also the main cash crop of the state. Satyanand Stokes whose contribution to the introduction of ‘Delicious’ quality of apple to all of us. Some of the theories state that Captain R C Scot of the British Army had introduced apples to the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh much before Satyanand Stokes, but it is mainly due to the efforts of Satyanand Stokes today Himachal is widely known for delicious red coloured apples. Apples are grown across the hill state. However, upper parts of Shimla district, including Jubbal Kotkhai, produce 70 per cent of apple produce in Himachal.
Himachal Pradesh is often referred to as the “Apple Bowl of India” due to its significant contribution to the country’s apple production. The success of apple farming in Himachal Pradesh is due to its unique climatic conditions.
Himachal Pradesh experiences cool summers and cold winters and well-distributed rainfall, making it an ideal place for apple cultivation. The fertile soil, sunlight, and elevation ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level enhance the quality of apples grown here. More elevation means better fruit quality and the apples from the higher elevations have better shelf life then from the lower elevations.
